In May 2008, in the outer outskirt South of Nairobi, Alice Village, a children home for orphans, was created on a 2 hectares green land away from the slums, diseases and violence.
The children home of Nairobi – the Kenyan capital city – gives a home to 100 of abused and abandoned children aged 3-15. Here, children are looked after by a local qualified staff, and in such a homey atmosphere they can finally find some peace and quiet.
The rights to education, adequate nourishing diet and health care are guaranteed to each one of them. Moreover, they have access to drinking water, electricity, internet connection, as well as health and mental care. Within the compound, there is a volunteer house for young men and young women from Italy, who represent an essential resource for the recreational and creative development of our children.
